International Students Orientation

Surfboard Room

This session is for all non-US citizens and non-US permanent residents. The Office of International Student Services staff will welcome you and provide answers to the most pressing questions about maintaining your F-1 visa status. Breakfast will be provided.

9:00 – 9:50 AM

Transfer Student Success Expo

Kresge Reading Room

The Academic Advising Center, Counseling Center, Information Technology, Greek Life/Student Organizations, Pepperdine Libraries, Seaver College Career Center, Spiritual Life Programs, Student Care Team, Student Employment, and Student Success Center will discuss the academic and professional paths of transfer students, as well as available resources. This is an essential session for a successful spring transition.

10:40 AM – 1:00 PM

International Students Orientation

Surfboard Room

This session is for all non-US citizens and non-US permanent residents, and is also recommended for any student transitioning from overseas education. This session is an essential guide to your successful transition to Pepperdine academics and community as an international student. All international students are expected to attend. Attendance will be taken. Absences and/or partial attendance will be made up by taking a makeup exam.

Student leadership organizations and various University departments will be present to share with you all the resources available to help you succeed in college. Bring your ID card.

Transfers: Find Your Classroom

Transfer mentors will show new transfers their class locations to help make the first week of school easier.

3:45 – 5:30 PM

International Students Orientation

Surfboard Room

This session is for all non-US citizens and non-US permanent residents. This session will cover a few ways an international student may legally work and participate in internships while in the US on a non-immigrant visa. The day will end with our traditional and exciting game of “Jepperdine!” (Prizes awarded.) All international students are expected to attend. Attendance will be taken. Absences and/or partial attendance will be made up by taking a makeup exam.
