Database Trial: Cabell’s Blacklist (Through March 11)

Pepperdine Libraries are trialing Cabell’s Blacklist through Monday, March 11.

Cabell’s Blacklist aims to shine a light on deceptive academic publishing practices.

The Blacklist is a searchable database of academic journals deemed deceptive and predatory by Cabell’s. Publications are analyzed for over 60 behavioral indicators suggesting deceptive practices. Subscribers have access to a database of reports for journals that Cabell’s specialists have evaluated and flagged. Each report enumerates the specific predatory behaviors that the Cabell’s evaluation revealed.
