In 1983, Michael Levine opened his first public relations firm, Levine Communications Office, out of the back of a hair salon in Sherman Oaks, California. After much hard work, Levine landed his first two clients, stand-up comedian David Brenner and actress Joan Rivers and began to gain traction as a public relations executive. Levine went on to represent a host of celebrity clients, such as David Bowie, Sandra Bullock, Prince, Michael Jackson, Barbara Streisand and more.
